where he expressed his support for abolition & now repeats those sentiments in print. Broke was one of 3 candidates in the East Suffolk County election for the 1st Reform Parliament Dec 1832. It is a Good example of ‘political spin’ – abhorring idea of human slavery but still wants abolition when and where it can be done fairly for the British.
